Studio Policy

COMMITMENT AGREEMENT

Please read the following information carefully before making a commitment to study.  This form must be signed and returned for a student to be enrolled. In addition, if a student drops off the schedule, we cannot promise a return spot for you. Unless you have reached your goal, it is our recommendation that study continue year around to get the successful results you work hard for.  Long periods away set back the students progress and skill. Schedules can be challenging; however we are here to help!


FAATM agrees to: 

    Provide excellence in fine arts training.

    Begin lessons and classes promptly as agreed.

    Strive for open communication between instructor, student, parent (guardian).

    Committed to the student’s overall development: (Musical, Ensemble, and Performance).

    Coach student for a successful recital experience.

    Committed to a full session of studies. 


Student and if applicable Parents (Guardian) agree to: 

    Be prepared for lessons and classes.  (Books and study materials)

    DAILY practice. Students need a daily, non-interrupted time to practice. Time will vary according to teacher assignments and student levels.

    Parental support is crucial to the success of each student.

    Fill out your practice time on sheet or in student portal.  Adults may opt out.

     Weekly attendance required.

    Follow the make-up policy outlined by FAATM.  (Only one (1) make-up lesson per session is granted due to illness and/or advanced notice given unless other arrangements have been made

    Payments are due each month on the FIRST WEEK of your scheduled class. (Checks made payable to Fine Arts at the Mountain).  

    You commit both financially and to the study of a full Session.

    Participate in recitals as determined by Instructor/Director.


CANCELLATION POLICY

    A 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations to be granted for a make-up lesson (except in an emergency or illness).

    Our studio allows for one (1) makeup during each calendar session.  

    If your instructor has an open time available during regular weekly schedule, you may reserve that time for a makeup without charge.

    If there isn’t a time available during the regular weekly schedule, there will be 2 calendar days set for makeups. You can find that calendar in your Student Portal and sign up directly.  

    If the teacher cancels you will be provided a makeup or credit into the following session..

    Only makeups are given for missed lessons. No Refunds.

    No makeups for missed makeups.


The Parent’s Guide to Instrument Study is in your student portal.  This guide will help you understand what is needed and expected for the success in this journey of making music.
